Driven by Social Responsibility: Ms. Duan Yumei Elected Vice President of SDUST Chemical Engineering Alumni Association

On October 24, 2026, Shandong University of Science and Technology (SDUST) held the opening meeting of the new 

Alumni Association of its College of Chemical and Biological Engineering. University leaders, alumni, and partner 

companies joined the event.At the meeting, Ms. Duan Yumei, genaral manger of D&E Group Ltd. was elected

Vice President of the new Alumni Association and received the letter of appointment from the university.

Ms. Duan graduated from this college. She has worked in international trade for more than 20 years, using her chemistry background to 

grow cross-border business and expand overseas markets.As she received the appointment amid warm applause, the moment carried a quiet weight. 

More than twenty years in global trade had only deepened her belief that the chemistry foundation built at her alma mater remains the true root of her

 career — a field may be crossed, yet the dedicationbehind it never changes.

 For Ms. Duan, this new role is both an honor and a responsibility she takes to heart.As SDUST celebrates its 75th anniversary, the
